2007 Vision Statement

The vision of the Zonta Club of Fairfax County, a chartered member of Zonta International, is to make a tangible difference in the security and economic status of women so that they are self-sufficient, empowered and equal.

Therefore we will:

   • Improve and promote educational opportunities in Fairfax County and on an
      International level

   • Support initiatives against Domestic Violence

   • Sustain a diverse, committed and active membership of 60

   • Provide a caring, safe, supportive environment fostering the personal growth and well-
      being of each other     

   • Be recognized as a positive, influential, and dynamic organization advocating
      resolution to women's issues through service and fundraising activities

   •Serve as role models though our actions and deeds
 

Zonta Club of Fairfax County—Over 40 Years of Success!

Founded in 1957, the Zonta Club of Fairfax County continues to attract a membership of well-respected executive and business professionals. This group of distinguished individuals includes business executives from major national and international firms, attorneys, senior county and federal government executives, real estate, financial, and medical service professionals, consultants, and business owners.

The Zonta Club of Fairfax offers an environment where women from diverse professions can join together in meaningful fund-raising and hands-on service projects to benefit local and international communities. In addition, members build strong personal and professional long-term relationships through networking and committee work.

The Zonta Club of Fairfax places its primary focus on education. We view education in the broadest sense—raising to the attention of Fairfax County problems that our community faces, financially supporting educational opportunities for women, and empowering young people and women to pursue new and challenging opportunities, and to give back hands-on service to their community.
